What is considered a damaged card? ›

Damaged cards show flaws such as heavily worn and torn edges and corners, tearing, major discoloration and/or whitening, and liquid damage. Other obvious flaws include layering, notching, creasing, and scratches that compromise the structural integrity of the card. Damaged cards may be illegal to play in tournaments.

Moderately Played (MP) = A card in this condition has noticeable play wear including edge wear, nicks, scratches, clouding, and/or scuffs. Heavy Played (HP) = A Heavy Played card is damaged in a way that could make it unplayable in tournaments, even in a sleeve.

Case breaks, box breaks and pack breaks may only be sold by pre-approved sellers under the following conditions: When the buyer makes their purchase, it must be clear which slot they are selecting and no element of chance can be involved to determine which slot the buyer will receive.

The idea is that when a card is described as Mint then it is assumed that it is perfectly preserved, however it may have a few very minor printing imperfections such as being imperfectly centered or the horizontal lines that sometimes appear on Unlimited Edition cards.

Cards in Damaged condition may have major border wear, corner wear, scratching or scuffing, as well as folds, creases, tears or other damage that impacts the structural integrity of the card.

Lightly Played (LP)

Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches.

Cards in Heavily Played condition show major wear. These cards are tournament-playable in sleeves. Cards with issues beyond "major" are more likely to be graded as Damaged.

A card graded 7 may also have a touch of wear on three or more corners and/or slightly rough edges. The image may be slightly out of register. A slight diamond cut is allowed, and very slight wax staining is allowed on the reverse.

Members must not create additional accounts to circumvent selling restrictions, buying limits, suspension, or to manipulate any site feature. Selling an eBay User ID or account without our permission is not allowed. Scraping or gathering information from eBay to use on another site is not allowed.

3 - (VG) Very Good.

Coming into contact with refrigerator magnets, clasps on wallets, and magnets on the back of tape measures and flashlights can demagnetize a credit or debit card. When you place your card in your wallet, but sure not to rub it up against the metal clasp and place it as far away from it as possible.

Scratches and general wear are common causes of demagnetization, but prolonged exposure to magnets can also ruin a card's magnetic strip. Fortunately, you don't need to worry about magnetic damage if your credit card has an EMV chip.
