My highlight from last weekends’ #WOWFestival? Maxine Peake reminding me to be really bloody proud of what I have achieved as a woman in the creative industry! 💅 EDNAEDNA had the absolute privilege of activating at Women of the World Festival in Factory International’s Aviva Studios last weekend, with our first iteration of a confessional booth for #GillianAndersons’s new book, WANT (more on that to come soon 👀).Whilst on site, we took the time to browse some of the stalls, engage with some of the activation spaces and take in some of the talks. As a HUGE #MaxinePeake fan anyway, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to hear her in conversation with festival founder and infamous theatre director Jude Kelly CBE, and the session did not disappoint. Maxine spoke of her personal experience in the creative industry and one thing she said in particular really resonated with me…‘People said I couldn’t, so I had to and I did’.As part of a female-led duo that were told we couldn’t…we had to, and we did. Our studio may still be in her infancy, but we leapt without a safety net almost 3 years ago and - despite peaks and troughs - we’ve never looked back! We’re always on the lookout for other fantastic womxn to connect and work with, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch 💗 Natasha O'Neill Naz Smouna#inspiredbyspaces #inspiredbywomen

As a small agile studio co-founder, I’ve often got my head so far into the weeds of our projects that I forgot to take a step back and consider how I might be influencing those around me, so when Naz Smouna writes such wonderful things about working with EDNAEDNA, it genuinely brings happy tears to my eyes 🥹

Let’s talk about the Clerkenwell Design Week 2024 installations! As an interior and spatial design enthusiast-come-student, and an experiential professional, Clerkenwell Design Week is a DREAM for me, and the installations this year did not disappoint. Highlights included:🟢 The juxtaposition of Duffy London and Orsi Orban’s ‘Gatekeepers’ modern, soft texture and shape in an otherwise classically monastic environment🟢 The twisty, turny optical illusion of Peter Morris’ ultra-light stone-coat imitation stone architectural sculpture, ‘Possible Impossible Pavillion’ 🟢 The playful nostalgia incited from 2LG Studio’s ‘Stay Playful (When No One Feels Like Playing)’What was everyone else’s fave bit about Clerkenwell Design Week? (I’m trying to be more ‘present’ in experiences and spaces, so I didn’t take any of my own photos…which means I’ve pinched a few from various sources on the internet!)#inspiredbyspaces #clerkenwelldesignweek2024 #installationartEDNAEDNA Natasha O'Neill Naz Smouna

I know we already waxed lyrical about it over on EDNAEDNA’s Pick a few weeks back, but I just came across some photos I took at the Hayward Gallery’s ‘When Forms Come Alive’ exhibit and remembered just how great it was! I’m such a sensory led person, with touch and texture being a major driver for me (anyone else touch literally everything to see what it feels like when you go IRL shopping? No? Just me?), so it took every ounce of strength not to get hands on with these rough, ridged, lumpy, bumpy, smooth, silky surfaces.Sadly it’s now closed, but if you didn’t get a chance to see it for yourself, the exhibition book is ruddy great too - highly recommend! Any other great exhibitions people can recommend for EDNAEDNA school trips?? #inspiredbyspaces #haywardgallery #whenformscomealive #immersiveart

My current obsession is tablescapes! Honestly, I can’t get enough! I’m a terrible cook so won’t be decking out my own dining table anytime soon, but luckily we’ve got a couple of EDNAEDNA dinners in the pipeline, so I can put all of my Pinterest tablescape ogling to good use. What are my current fave themes, I hear you ask?🍄 MOSS! Or, really, any ‘forest floor’ aesthetic vegetation; wildflowers, herbs, ferns and fungi. The earthy tones pair so well with seasonal foraged menus to create calm, convivial environments.🎀 BOWS! We saw them littered across the most stylish Christmas trees last year, they graced the catwalks of Milan Fashion Week back in Feb, and they’ve finally landed on our tables; something I am not at all mad about!🍋 FOOD ART! Who says the centrepiece needs to be made from florals?! There are some beautiful examples of food being used as gorj art pieces on tablescapes currently and IMO it’s genius…what better way to get the mouth watering?! 🫖 MINIMALIST COTTAGECORE! The two words don’t sound like they should naturally fit together, but the combination of rustic simple linens thrown over industrial wooden tables with vintage patterned crockery and classic florals provides a sense of comforting nostalgia like no other. Any hot tablescape trends I need to add to my shortlist? Let me know!#inspiredbyspaces #tablescapes #brandactivation

For anyone that has seen the film, you’ll appreciate that the set and costume design were something to behold (recognised by the many awards and accolades it received!), so to have the opportunity to experience this first hand AND eat and drink a gorgeous dinner would’ve been incredible!! If I wasn’t already bitter about the fact that I don’t live in NYC, I deffo am now 😭#inspiredbyspaces #poorthings #brandactivation

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I assume you’re aware that today is Bridgerton S3 day! From the pop-up Regency-era drawing room at LUSH Oxford Street, to Ruggable’s product range fit for a Lord and Lady, brand haven’t wasted the opportunity to ride on those Georgian coattails. But my favourite passenger on the Bridgerton bandwagon is the oh so cleverRightmove, who have seized the opportunity to find the perfect homes for some of the Bridgerton cast. They might be a little out of my price range, but I applaud RightMove for their ingenuity, and thank them for giving me an excuse to spend part of my working day partaking in my favourite activity…house hunting! But the real question here is…which is your favourite?! https://lnkd.in/eeMwysQN#brandactivation #bridgerton #brandcollaboration
