Pokémon are typically seen as creatures that bring joy to those around them, leading to adventures and new discoveries about the world and ourselves. As we study Pokémon, it is important to get an idea of how they would behave on a psychological level. The Prisoner's Dilemma is a perfect way to really dig into the psychology of these creatures. Which ones would remain silent while hoping that you will do the same? Which ones will sell you out for their own benefit? As Pokémon often display levels of consciousness and rationality that come startlingly close to that of a human, we must take these questions into consideration.
Thankfully, after much thought and research, I have determined the answers to these questions. Please remember to keep this list handy if you ever find yourself getting arrested during an arson attempt on the local gym leader that refused to give you a badge just because you yelled profanities at them because your under-leveled Caterpie couldn't take down an Onix on its own.
