The models that we have assembled here in this list are all based on customer reviews and feedback. Five-seat crossovers have been a body style recently, with several brands fielding their models to incite interest in the Philippines.

In doing so, there are a ton of great models out there to choose from, and most customers are liking what they’re driving, at least based on the feedback that they’ve given us.

Tied for 9th and 10th on our list are the GAC GS4 and the Ford Territory. Let’s cover the GS4 first. The model received critical acclaim when it was first launched, and the model became even better when GAC launched its facelift not too long ago. The new model comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged motor that creates 151 hp and 235 Nm of torque mated to a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The model is a spacious one, and it also comes with more than enough features for your daily drive. In our customer reviews, it scored 4.5 out of 5 stars, making it one of the better models out there to purchase.

9/10. Ford Territory (4.55 out of 5)

Then we have the Ford Territory, which ties the GAC with the same score. To say that the model was well-received in the market is a bit of an understatement since Ford has been selling units left and right ever since it was launched. Now, with a new model on the horizon slated for public availability, we’re expecting that the score could be even higher. For now, however, the Territory proved itself to be a solid option for its buyers with its 1.5-liter turbo engine paired with a CVT and a ton (and we do mean a ton) of features, and consumers have all come to love it.

8. MG ZS (4.58 out of 5)

The MG ZS continues to sell well and continues its streak of positive consumer reviews. With its 4.58 out of five-star average rating, it nets top marks with owners even in the face of other worthy options out in the market. With an affordable price tag, and handsome, buttoned-up looks, the ZS does well to satisfy the needs of its buyers. With this, it places 8th on our list.

7. Mazda CX-3 (4.66 out of 5)

Coming in at number seven is the Mazda CX-3. A loved model based on the reviews that its owners have left, it scores an extremely respectable score thus earning it a spot on our list. The model comes with a peppy 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated Skyactiv-G engine that is equipped with one of the best automatic transmissions out on the market today. On top of being a comfortable yet sporty crossover to drive, it also comes with a premium fit and finish, earning it a great score with its buyers.

6. Geely Coolray (4.73 out of 5)

Geely grabbed a ton of attention when it first launched the Coolray, and after tons of sales and satisfied customers, it continues its winning streak for the Chinese brand in the country. With a high score of 4.73 out of 5, the Coolray continues to strike a chord with owners. Satisfaction with the model has been great, and a lot of particular customers have been lauding the model ever since they got the chance to drive it. It makes sense why Geely Philippines decided that the Coolray would be the headlining model for the brand when it first launched, and with its spritely 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, its stunning interior, and its sporty looks, it earns its place in the hearts and minds of Filipino car buyers.

5. Volkswagen T-Cross (4.77 out of 5)

Not too long ago, Volkswagen Philippines launched the T-Cross in the country, and the model was rather well-received, enough for Volkswagen to name it one of their best-sellers in the Philippines. It appears that many consumers agree that it is a stylish and affordable crossover that evokes a very mature yet youthful vibe, and with Volkswagen’s stunning exterior and interior colors, it did more than just catch eyes, it garnered sales. Past the showroom, however, the T-Cross was still able to score highly with its owners. The model cracks our top five on this list, netting an average consumer review score of 4.77 out of 5.

3/4. GAC GS3 (4.83 out of 5)

Tied in third and fourth place, we have the GAC GS3 and the Changan CS75 Plus. Going over the GAC GS3 first, it actually scored a higher satisfaction rating based on customer reviews than its bigger brother, the GS4. The model made its mark back then as an affordable subcompact crossover with a serviceable engine and a well-made interior. The practical benefits of going for a crossover include added ground clearance and SUV-like cargo space. It’s not exactly huge as well, being able to fit in tight Metro Manila streets and crowded parking lots, and GAC has done well to make sure that the models’ features are worth the money that customers are paying. Based on its score of 4.83 out of 5, it appears that many are quite satisfied with the model.

3/4. Changan CS75 Plus (4.83 out of 5)

That brings us to the other model that the GAC tied with, the Changan CS75 Plus. Changan is a relatively new player in the market, but the brand has been making waves ever since it was introduced. One of the mainline models of the brand is the CS75 Plus, an instant hit with consumers looking for a compact crossover with a ton of features and head-turning looks. The CS75 Plus grabbed attention with its capable turbocharged engine and its feature set all at a price that plenty of buyers can afford. The value-for-money that the CS75 Plus offered is reflected in its average score, which came out to 4.83 out of 5, the same as the GAC that we covered earlier.

2. Changan CS35 Plus (4.86 out of 5)

Another Changan makes the list, and it’s an impressive feat for a new brand to score this high in terms of customer reviews. The Changan CS35 Plus is a subcompact crossover that seeks to challenge the rest of the market with a modern design and extremely modern features. Like its bigger brother, the CS75 Plus, it gets advanced safety features in its upper trim levels which include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and a full set of airbags on top of a bunch of other things. The model scored 4.86 out of 5 with customers, and that can also hark back to the fact that this car can be had for less than a million Philippine Pesos, so owners are feeling that their money went to a worthwhile purchase.

1. Honda HR-V (4.91 out of 5)

Finally, the number one car on our list of the best five-seat crossovers based on consumer reviews is the Honda HR-V. It’s no secret that the HR-V is one of the best crossovers around because it is a Honda and it is a turbocharged motor with a ton of pep mated to one of the best CVTs out in the market today. The HR-V is one of the more thrilling crossovers that we have driven, and it is marked as one of the best crossovers that money can buy if you’re looking for a comfortable yet sporty all-rounder. Honda was able to fit the Honda Civic’s engine into the frame of the HR-V, and it’s a great pairing. That’s not to leave out the frugal 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated mill, however, but if we were to pick, the 1.5-liter turbo model would be our choice. With a near-perfect score, the Honda HR-V is the Philippine customer’s best-reviewed car based on our data.
