Amanda Rose Girard and Jeremy Lian Tysonwere married on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Staten Island, New York.

The Matrons of Honor were the bride’s two sisters Jennifer and Theresa. The Best Woman was Jeremy’s sister Michelle Hongyi Tyson. The beautiful nuptial ceremony was conducted on an autumn day.Amanda’s dress was an ivory timeless dress and Jeremy wore a custom black tuxedo with midnight blue accents. The bridal party wore custom black suits and cinnamon-colored dresses for the ladies matching the season.

Amanda works in Customer Success at CB Insights in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from CUNY-College of Staten Island and graduated from Tottenville High School. in Staten Island, New York.

Jeremy works as a Software Engineer at CB Insights in New York City. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and graduated from George School in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

The bride is the daughter of Deborah and Donald Girard of Staten Island, New York. The groom is the son of Holly Chen and Kenneth Charles Tyson, of Plainsboro, New Jersey. The happy couple currently reside in Bayonne, New Jersey. They have traveled extensively to Europe, the Caribbean, and within the U.S. They will continue their adventures to Asia and more countries in Europe in the upcoming year.

Jennifer Rose Joyce and

Jennifer Rose Joyce was married to James Francis Mahon III on May 7, 2022 at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in the city of New York, NY. The reception was held at the Harvard Club of New York City.

Father Paul Anel, of the Parish of St. Paul and St. Agnes in Brooklyn, NY, officiated the nuptial mass. The Matron of Honor was Jessica Bessler and the Bridesmaids were Jules Lee,Theresa Pilgrim, and Candace Yorioka.The Best Man was James’ brotherDenis Mahon and the Groomsmen were Russell Koff, Paul Vishayanuroj, and Mark Shepard.
The Bride was granted permission to have a choir perform at the nuptial mass, comprised of friends from Downtown Voices, Church of St. Paul the Apostle, and the broader musicalcommunity. The choir performed “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” and “A Gaelic Blessing,” both by John Rutter, accompanied by Angelina Savoia on harp and Dr. Jennifer Pascual on organ. Mark Heimbigner cantored the nuptial mass and Aine Hakamatsuka sang “Ave Maria” by Bach/Gounod as a soprano soloist.

Jennifer works as Lead Designer at Columbia University and is a graduate student in the MPS Branding program at the School of Visual Arts. She holds a Certificate in Graphic and Digital Design from Parsons School of Design, as well as a BM in Vocal Performance from the University of Denver and a BA in English from Gonzaga University. Jennifer graduated from Aquinas High School in Augusta, Georgia.

James works as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP. He holds a PhD and MA in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University. James graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, NJ.

Jennifer is the daughter of Linda and Dr. Anthony Joyce COL, DC, USA (ret.) of Yelm, WA. The bride’s father served 33 years in the U.S. Army and received the bronze star for his service in Afghanistan. James is the son of the late Mairead and James Francis Mahon Jr. of Princeton, NJ. The groom’s father is a certified public accountant and attorney, and is a partner in the
New York office of Citrin Cooperman.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in the south of France, exploring the Côte d’Azur, Provence, Monaco, and Northern Italy. Theyreside in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan, half a block from Central Park.

Tyler Atkins Mulford and Bryan William McCue

Bride Tyler Atkins Mulford of Princeton, N.J., daughter of Randy and Corrine Mulford, married her groom Bryan William McCue of Bryn Mawr, Pa., son of William and Pamela McCue on April 30, 2022 at Trinity Church on Mercer Street.

Following the beautiful ceremony on a sun-filled day, a black tie co*cktail hour and reception were hosted at the Nassau Inn. Tyler’s dress was a true princess couture ballgown and Bryan wore a custom tuxedo with midnight blue accents. The bridal party wore a mix of greens and blues for the ladies, matching the overall theme of the weekend and the couple’s crest, and the men wore crisp tuxedos.

Although the couple both attended Villanova University, they met years later while living in New York City — Tyler working in equities sales and trading and Bryan in tech sales. They currently reside in Connecticut with their two adorable cats and look forward to continuing their love story.

Andrew Isaac Siegel and Betsey Kane Margolies

Betsey Kane Margolies and Andrew Isaac Siegel were married Saturday night, October 5, 2019 by Rabbi Ira Dounn at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. Their wedding was the first wedding held at the newly-built hotel in downtown Philadelphia.

Mrs. Siegel, 32, is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Compass in New York City. She graduated from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and is the daughter of Dr. Wendy Kane and Jeffrey Margolies of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Siegel, 31, is the fourth-generation owner and the Director of Business Strategy and Operations at Hamilton Jewelers, a family-owned luxury jeweler with locations in Princeton, New Jersey; Palm Beach, Florida; and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He graduated from Emory University with bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science, was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and sang baritone for both the university’s Concert Choir as well as its all-male a cappella group. He is the son of Lisette and Hank Siegel of Princeton, New Jersey and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Timothy Joseph Donovan

Blathnaid Maire Mahon was married to Timothy Joseph Donovan on Saturday October 6, 2018 at Jesus Savior Roman Catholic Church in Newport, Rhode Island. The reception was at The Bohlin, at Newport Yachting Center.

92-year-old Rev. William O’Neill of Donegal, Ireland officiated the ceremony and wedding mass. The bridesmaids were the bride’s two close friends from her Princeton High School class, Julia Walker and Casey King, and her two sisters Deirdre and Fiona Mahon, who are also Princeton High School graduates. The maid of honor was Erin Lanni, the bride’s close friend from Providence College.

Erin, addressing the guests at the reception, told the story of Blathnaid coming to Providence College as a sophom*ore transfer student from St. Francis University, where she had been on a field hockey scholarship, and was a Division I Academic All American her freshman year. Blathnaid was assigned to room with Erin and two other girls in a campus apartment, and they were not looking forward to a fourth roommate. The girls googled Blathnaid and the first thing they found was an article in the “local Princeton paper” about the Mahofia, and the Princeton High School girls ice hockey team offensive line of Blathnaid, sister Deirdre and cousin Cami, which appeared in the March 10, 2004 edition of the Town Topics written by Bill Alden. http://www.towntopics.com/mar1004/sports3.html. The Providence roommates were intimidated and a little apprehensive, but as Erin told everyone, they quickly became close friends for life.

A 2005 graduate of Princeton High School, Blathnaid, 31, in 2009 earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Providence College and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science Nursing from Long Island University. Since 2009, Blathnaid has been employed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center In New York, NY and currently is an acute care nurse at the hospital.
Timothy, 31, a 2005 graduate of Lynnfield High School in Massachusetts, in 2009 earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Providence College. He has been employed by BlackRock since 2010 and is currently an Associate and CFA charterholder in the New York, NY office.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mairead Mahon and James Mahon of Princeton. The bride’s father is a certified public accountant and attorney and is a partner in the New York, NY office of Citrin Cooperman. The groom is the son of Anne and Mark Donovan of Lynnfield, Massachusetts.

The happy couple live in Long Island City, NY. They recently returned from a two-week honeymoon in Fiji and New Zealand.

Pierre Louis Bernard Marx and Chloé Marie Devlaminck

Chloé Marie Devlaminck and Pierre Louis Bernard Marx were married on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Saint Martin Roman Catholic Church in Béville-le-Comte, France. A 2007 graduate of Princeton High School, Chloé, 29, earned a degree in marketing from HEC Montréal, Canada. She is currently working as a Regional Sales Manager for Living Proof Inc.

Pierre, 29, is a 2007 graduate of the French International School of Dublin, Ireland. He graduated from HEC Montréal with a degree in finance and he earned an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona, Spain. Pierre is self-employed and works in new technologies.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Devlaminck of Princeton, New Jersey. The bride’s father is employed as an associate director in engineering atMerck. The bride’s mother is a French teacher at Princeton Charter School. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jean-Louis Marx of Croissy-sur-Seine, France. His father is the president of Prestacare, a company in the Services business sector.

The happy couple resides in Montréal, Canada.

Danielle Morey Gaines and Jeremy Michael Perlman were married on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Bonnet Island Estate in Manahawkin, New Jersey.

Danielle graduated in 2006 from Calabasas High School in California, and in 2010 from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. After pursuing a career in musical theater for four years, she worked in both talent management and TV development, and is currently an HR Operations Manager at Two Sigma Investments in New York City.

Jeremy graduated in 2006 from The Lawrenceville School, and in 2010 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. After two years at Goldman Sachs, Jeremy spent a year traveling in South America, and then returned to get his Master of Science in Insurance and Risk Management from St. John’s University. He is now a fourth generation family member at Borden Perlman, an insurance and risk advisory firm headquartered in Ewing.

The bride is the daughter of Jill and Fred Gaines of Calabasas, California. The groom is the son of Sharon and Jeff Perlman of Princeton, New Jersey.

The happy couple resides in Lawrenceville.

Mary Helen Stinson and Jeremy Antione Phelps were united in marriage on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Princeton.

Mary is a 2006 graduate of The Hun School of Princeton. She graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Master’s in nutrition and integrative health. She is currently a private nutritionist in Washington, D.C.

Jeremy is a 2005 graduate of Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Virginia. He graduated from High Point University with Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is currently a government contracts manager at Louis Berger in Washington, D.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stinson, III of Princeton, New Jersey. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Phelps of Lynchburg, Virginia.

Erica Beth Goldberg and Alexander Pitetti Irwin were married May 20 on the grounds of the Awbury Arboretum, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Brooke Rothman, close friend of the bride and groom, officiated at the wedding. The bride’s parents are Wilma Solomon and David Goldberg of Princeton and the groom’s parents are Laurie and James Irwin of Reamstown, Pennsylvania.

Among the bride’s attendants were friends made during her Princeton elementary school years: Meghan Bashaw Holl, matron of honor; Emily Donati, maid of honor; and bridesmaids, Aurora MacRae-Crerar and Caitlin Thornton Atherton.

A 2003 graduate of Princeton High School, the bride, 32, earned a BA in political science from the University of Pittsburgh and MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a project manager at the Emergency Medicine department at the University of Pennsylvania and a volunteer with ACT UP Philadelphia, an HIV/AIDS advocacy group. The bride’s father is employed by Tobii Dynavox, specializing in augmentative communication for people who cannot speak. The bride’s mother is a retired attorney and longtime board member of Not in Our Town, a Princeton-based interracial group to promote racial justice.

The groom, 31, graduated in 2004 from Cocalico High School in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and earned a BA in communications from Temple University Honors Program. He is a staff writer at Braithwaite Communications and is the drummer for the indie rock band Flat Mary Road, which performs in the Philadelphia area. His father is a software architect with Unisys. The groom’s mother is a mural artist and owner of the Extra Olives gift shop in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

The couple will continue to live in their beloved West Philadelphia where they met seven years ago at a party hosted by the bride. Since then they have traveled extensively through the U.S. and abroad, including Mexico, India, and Israel. They recently returned from a honeymoon in Spain.

Weronika Agnieszka Piechota and Charles Raymond Plohn were married June 25 on Cape Cod. The Chaplain David McCollough performed the ceremony at The Chapel on the Pond in North Truro, Massachusetts.

Although born an ocean apart, the couple met in the darkroom while photography students at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey, from which they graduated.

The bride, 31, is a portrait and event photographer and personal assistant. She is the daughter of Elzibeta Piechota of Chicago, Illinois, and Janusz Piechote of Lezajsk, Poland. Her father is the head specialist for the agricultural department in Lezajsk. Her mother taught Polish language and literature for over 30 years at the Lezajsk Gymnasium Middle School before retirement.

The groom, 37, is a freelance photographer, a staff photographer at Town Topics Newspaper in Princeton, New Jersey, and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of Photography at Mercer County Community College. He is the son of Dorothy and Charles Plohn, Jr. of Princeton. His father retired as a Managing Director and head of the Special Equity Transactions group at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. in New York.

His paternal grandfather was a member of the New York Stock Exchange and the founder of the investment firm Charles Plohn & Co. His mother served on the boards of cultural and historical institutions in Princeton and New Jersey and is a past President of the Friends of the New Jersey State Museum.

Karin Rebecca Reiss and Lawrence David Peters were married May 14 at Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union, Wash. Rabbi Daniel Weiner officiated.

The bride, 31, and the groom, 32, met in 2007 at Columbia University, from which they received law degrees.

Ms. Reiss, who is keeping her name, is a compliance lawyer at Microsoft in Redmond, Wash., who helps the company adhere to ethical practices and regulations. She graduated from McGill University. She is the daughter of Dorothy David of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Milton H. Reiss of Becket, Mass.

Mr. Peters is a director of corporate strategy at T-Mobile in Bellevue, Wash. He graduated from Yale, from which he also received an M.B.A. He is a son of Nancy Freedman Peters and Steven M. Peters of Greenwich, Conn.

Gisela Abigail Kam, daughter of Lilia M. Kam and the late William S. Kam of Washington D.C. was married, in a civil ceremony to Rodolfo Guillermo Aiello, son of Maria Edit Aiello and the late Rodolfo J. Aiello of Buenos Aires, at Moultrie Courthouse, Superior Court of the District of Columbia, on April 20, 2016, a late spring day. Judge Wilma Brier, Branch Chief, officiated.

The bride, a graduate of the University of Hawaii, received her BA in English literature and a Teaching Certificate in secondary education. She received an MA in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.

The groom received a BA, MA, and MPhil in Linguistics from Columbia University in New York.

Their first encounter, one summer’s day was unremarkable. They said little of import, yet coming away, they were filled with wonder. A few years later, while both were employed by Princeton University at Firestone Library: she in technical services, and he in the department of rare books and manuscripts, they met — and their every meeting together after was joyful.

Rodolfo left the Library and began his teaching career as a lecturer in the department of Spanish and Portuguese at Princeton, where he taught for six years. He accepted a position at New York University, in 2000 where he was made senior lecturer. He retired from that institution after 10 years in 2010. Gisela became a librarian III, at Firestone Library, as the modern Greek and romance languages cataloger until her retirement in 2012.

Princeton University campus, on a summer’s day was their stage. Now pensioners, and despite the high taxes, they live within walking distance of the campus and Firestone Library. Throughout the year, they spend their time in Washington D.C., Spain, and Argentina and wherever they are together, there is joy.

Susan is a graduate of West Windsor Plainsboro High School in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. She graduated with honors from Salisbury University with a degree in marketing and is currently the Racquet and Fitness Manager at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania.

Michael is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas and a graduate of Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is currently the St. Martins Club Manager of the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. The couple will reside in Santa Monica, California where the groom will be the general manager of The Beach Club.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Diane Urbanek of Princeton Junction and the groom is the son of Michael andLynn Chase of Overland Park, Kansas.

Emily Anne Wilson and Michael Adam DeLorenzo were married Saturday, September 12 at The River Course at Kiawah Island Club on Kiawah Island, S.C.Joseph Kossow, a close friend of the couple, who became a Universal Life Minister for the event, officiated. The couple met in New York City shortly after graduating from college through mutual friends.

Mrs. DeLorenzo, 29, is an interior designer with Lisette Voute Designs in London. She received a BA in art history from Rollins College and completed a post graduate degree from The New York School of Interior Design. The bride is a Princeton High School graduate. She is the daughter of Bonnie McVicker Wilson and Peter Whittingham Wilson of Princeton. The bride’s father is the Chief Executive Officer of Axis Insurance, the commercial insurance division of Axis Capital in New York City. Her mother retired as a real estate agent with Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s International Realty in Princeton. The bride is a descendent of Myles Standish, the first governor of the Plymouth Settlement.

Mr. DeLorenzo, 29, works in London as vice president for Imperial Capital, a securities brokerage and investment banking firm. He specializes in institutional credit sales. He graduated from Fordham University with a BS degree in finance and economics, and from Mountain Lakes High School in New Jersey. He is the son of Nancy Delorenzo and Michael Delorenzo of Boonton, New Jersey and Alexandria, Virginia. His mother is the regional director of project management at Zurich North America. His father is a dentist, and practices in Alexandria, Virginia and Queens, New York.

The couple currently resides in London.

Ann Marie Grace Yoo and Lawrence Michael Miller were married Saturday Evening at St. Paul’s Chapel at Columbia University and had a reception that followed at The Metropolitan Club. Father Tom Hagan, a close family friend and Catholic priest officiated.

The bride, 32, will keep her name. She is a Manhattan based actress, comedian, and violinist. She appears in network television shows, has performed at Carnegie Hall on multiple occasions, and performs regularly at both the Peoples Improv Theatre (The PIT) and the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB). She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and music. She is the daughter of Grace K. Yoo and Soo O. Yoo of Ardsley, N.Y.

The groom, 34, is a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch where he advises high net worth individuals and families on their financial matters. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a Master’s degree from The London School of Economics. He is the son of Michele D. Miller and Lawrence E. Miller of Skillman, N.J.

Mrs. Gautieri is a 2005 graduate of Princeton High School and received a degree in psychology from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She is an event planner in Bergen County, N.J. Mr. Gautieri graduated from Middletown High School and studied business management at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. He is a regional manager with Real Estate Growth Advisors, LLC, in Highland Park, NJ.

The parents of the bride and groom are Caroline Purnell Tompkins of Princeton, and Albert Angrisani of Princeton and Manhattan, and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent F. Gautieri of Belford, N.J.

The couple resides in Harrington Park, N.J.

Elizabeth Cassidy Conway, daughter of David and Mary Conway of Lowell, Mass. to Robert Charles Wang, son of John and Christina Wang of Princeton, N.J. The August 1, 2015 ceremony took place at Hamilton College Chapel in Clinton, N.Y.

The bride, a native of Lowell attended Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy. She later entered Suffolk University Law School and passed her bar examination in Ma. and N.Y.

The groom, born and raised in Princeton, attended Princeton Day School from junior kindergarten through ninth grade, graduated from The Lawrenceville School and spent a postgraduate year at Choate in Conn. He then received his Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Hamilton College.

The couple currently works and lives in New York City.

She is Marketing Coordinator for NEF, Inc. in Newton, Massachusetts. The bride’s father retired after a long career as a senior development officer at Princeton University and her mother is a long-time volunteer executive with the Reformed Church of America.

The groom is a Marketing Manager at John C. Wiley & Sons Publishing Co. in Malden, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of James Madison University and also majored in International Relations. He is the son of Rosemarie Makely Hendrick and Michael Christian Hendrick of Swoope, Virginia. The groom’s father is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and is retired.

The bride and groom are planning a honeymoon trip to France and reside in Somerville, Massachusetts.

She is a daughter of Dr. Larry Barnett of New Canaan, Connecticut and Karen Rowlton Zocolli of Fairfield, Connecticut. Her father, a chiropractor in Norwalk, holds several patents for exercise and chiropractic equipment. Her mother is an executive assistant in the Darien office ofNewStar Financial, Inc. of Boston.

The groom, 33 is the associate director of NY Yankees Baseball for the YES Network in Stamford, Connecticut. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1999 and from Ithaca College with a degree in Sport Management, and has received six N.Y. Television Emmy Awards for various YES Network productions.

He is the son of Alan Medvin and Harriet Kass of Princeton, N.J. His mother, who holds a PhD in economics, was an executive with AT&T prior to her retirement, and currently consults for The Conference Board in New York City. His father was a partner in the Newark law firm of Medvin & Elberg prior to his retirement, and is a past-president of the New Jersey Association for Justice. He currently volunteers as a case developer for Centurion Ministries of Princeton, the country’s oldest exoneration project.

She was employed as a senior analyst with Ernst & Young’s Quantitative Economics and Statistics practice in Washington, D.C. and is a graduate of Wellesley College. She will pursue full-time graduate study this fall at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.

She is the daughter of Dr. Nancy Snyderman and Douglas Myers of Princeton. Dr. Snyderman is the chief medical editor for NBC News and associate clinical professor of otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania. Douglas Myers is a freelance television sports producer.

Mr. Begin, 27, is assistant dean of admissions at Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Md., where he also teaches English and coaches the school’s baseball team. He is completing a master’s degree in educational studies at Johns Hopkins University. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University.

He is the son of Barbara A. Lee and James P. Begin, both of Princeton. Ms. Lee is a professor of human resource management at Rutgers University and is of counsel to the law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer. Mr. Begin, now retired, is an emeritus distinguished professor and the former director of the Institute of Management and Labor Relations, Rutgers University.

The couple met at Princeton High School in 2004. They now make their home in Washington, D.C.

Stephen Richard Quandt, son of Midge and Richard Quandt of Princeton, and Thomas Brian Heyer, son of Dawn and the late Robert Heyer of Holland, Michigan were married on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Arrowsic, Maine at the home of Mr. Quandt’s cousin Walter Briggs who became a Universal Life Church minister for the event and who officiated.

Two close friends of the couple, Sandra Raupp and Sandra Luckow, along with Walter and Wendy Briggs, their four children Duncan, Marnie, Charlotte, and Henry attended the ceremony, which was not announced in advance.

The couple met at the Papermill Playhouse in 1992 where they were both working on a production of Great Expectations. Mr. Quandt is a freelance theatrical lighting designer and a responding consultant for the ASPCA’s Field Investigation and Response Team. He graduated from The Hun School, the College of Wooster, and received an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Mr. Heyer is a freelance costume designer and fine artist. He graduated from UNC Charlotte, and received his MFA in Theatrical Design from Southern Methodist University.

Leslie Ann Thompson and Michael Clinton Strauss were married Saturday, February 16 at The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. A Catholic priest, Father Patrick Connor of Bordentown, New Jersey, and a Presbyterian Minister, the Reverend Doctor Guy David Hawley of Cincinnati, Ohio, jointly officiated.

Ms. Thompson, 29, is a vice president in Country Risk Strategy at Citigroup in New York. She graduated from Stuart Country Day School in Princeton and magna cum laude from Middlebury College, and earned a Diploma from Sciences Po in Paris and a Master’s from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. She is the daughter of Dr. Donald Thompson, president of Thompson Mahogany Company in Philadelphia, and Dr. Marian Macchi, formerly of Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications Research and co-founder of the E-Speech software company, both of Princeton, New Jersey. Ms. Thompson’s grandfather, Dr. Donald Thompson, served as president of Canada’s Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Mr. Strauss, 40, is a senior advisor for international macroeconomic policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He was the third generation in his family to attend Williams College, where he served as president of the student body and graduated cum laude. After a stint teaching American literature in Moscow, he received a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a concurrent JD from Stanford Law School. He worked for five years as an associate in the London and Paris offices of the New York law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, LLP, then returned to Washington, where he worked for five years as counsel in the legal departments of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Mr. Strauss also plays bass in the popular Washington-based funk and rock band, “Bonjour, Ganesh!”.

Mr. Strauss’ father, the late Peter J Strauss, was a partner with the law firm Graydon, Head & Ritchey and was vice mayor of Cincinnati for several years. His mother, Katherine “Kitty” Strauss, is a Senior Director at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and also sits on a number of boards in the region, including the executive committee of the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund and the Board of Ohio Cancer Research. Both parents have been honored as “Lions” of the Greater Cincinnati Urban League.

The couple met in the Paris office of Cleary Gottlieb. Avid skiers, their romance was kindled on an impromptu group trip to Chamonix, France over New Year’s 2005-06. They dated, quietly at first, for many years, including long-distance from Paris to Washington and then New York to Washington. They were engaged in June 2012 on a surprise trip to Cartagena, Colombia, and, in keeping with their love of skiing, will honeymoon at a family ski house at Whistler in British Columbia, Canada.

Emily Speicher Burns, daughter of Anne B. Burns and Dr. John J. Burns of Princeton was married on July 28, 2012 to Dr. Noah Benjamin Cincinnati, son of Judy B. Cincinnati and Edward F. Cincinnati of Fairfax, Va. Heidi W. Currier, a New Jersey Superior Court judge, officiated at Greenacres Country Club in Lawrenceville.

Mrs. Cincinnati, 27, teaches eighth-grade social studies at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Va. A 2003 graduate of Princeton High School, she graduated from Franklin & Marshall College and received a master’s degree in teaching at Johns Hopkins.

Her father is the managing partner for Cardiology Associates, a medical practice in East Brunswick. Her mother is the public relations director for Issues Management, a public affairs firm in Princeton.

Dr. Cincinnati, 29, began working in September as an assistant professor of history at Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale. Until May, he was an adjunct professor of history at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., and at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He graduated from the University of Mary Washington and received a master’s degree and a PhD in American History from Johns Hopkins.

The groom’s mother was a preschool teacher at Temple Rodef Shalom in Falls Church, Va. for more than 20 years. His father, who is retired, was an assistant inspector general for the United States Department of Homeland Security.

The couple honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas. They currently reside in Fairfax, Va.

Kupin-Cranston

Elizabeth Jean Kupin, daughter of Joseph and Jane Kupin of Princeton, is engaged to Daniel Cranston, son of Dr. Robert Cranston and the late Barbara Cranston of Champaign, Illinois.

Ms. Kupin graduated from Princeton High School in 2002 and Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 with a dual degree in mathematics and visual arts. In May 2012, she received a PhD from Rutgers University in mathematics. Ms. Kupin currently works as a tutor in Richmond, Virgina.

Ms. Kupin’s father, Joseph Kupin, is currently a Deacon at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Princeton.

Mr. Cranston graduated from University High School in Champaign, Illinois in 1996 and earned a degree in mathematics from Greenville College in 1999. In 2007, Mr. Cranston earned a PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Cranston is currently a professor of mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virgina.

The couple became engaged in April of 2012. Their wedding is planned for November of 2012 in Richmond, Virgina.

Amanda Suomi of Princeton, daughter of Barbara Suomi and Marvin Suomi, wed Robert Gorrie of Pennington, son of Thomas and Margaret Gorrie. The couple was married on August 11, 2012 in Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii in a beautiful ceremony attended by close friends and members of their families.

The bride graduated from Princeton Day School in 1999 and went on to study and play soccer at the University of Vermont. She received her Masters in Education from Pepperdine University and is now teaching at the Corlears School in Manhattan.

The groom graduated from The Hun School in 1998 and went on to study at Skidmore College. He has recently received his Juris Doctorate in Environment Law from Pace University, graduating magna cum laude.

The couple honeymooned on the Big Island of Hawaii.

She completed a pharmacy residency with Methodist Healthcare — Memphis Hospitals in Memphis, Tenn., and is a Board Certified Pharmacist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Mr. Miller graduated in 1983 from Manalapan High School in Manalapan, New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative literature in 1997 from Rutgers College at Rutgers University. He is an information technology manager with ThomsonReuters in Manhattan.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple now resides in Princeton Junction, NJ.

Mr. Blackwell graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 1996 and the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 where he earned a BS in computer science. After six years as a naval officer, he is now in the dentistry program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Mr. O’Neil is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. and Villanova University. He also received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He is a lead financial analyst for AT&T.

The couple honeymooned in Thailand and currently reside in Dallas, Texas.

The bride graduated from Columbia University with highest honors. She was awarded the Kellet Fellowship by Columbia University for study at Oxford University, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Latin American studies.

The bridegroom graduated in 2007 from Princeton Day School and in 2011 from Columbia University. He received the Clarenden Fellowship and the St. Anthony’s Scholarship awarded by Oxford University, where he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in contemporary Chinese studies.

The couple honeymooned at a seaside inn in Cornwall, England.

The bride, 34, will continue to use her name professionally. She graduated from Vassar College and received a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is a trader in New York City for Royce & Associates.

The bridegroom, 36, graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and received a PhD in astrophysics from Princeton University. He is a research physicist in Princeton for Nova Photonics.

The couple will reside in Princeton, NJ. A reception will follow in August of this year.
