After making his way to the top of the music charts in 2009 with his debut singleWatcha Say,Jason Derulo has proved to be a formidable force in the world of pop music.

Now, Derulo is turning his attention Down Under, with the American singer now starring alongside Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, and Guy Sebastian as coaches ofThe Voice Australia.

While Derulo may be known best for his catchy pop hits, the singer has also made a name for himself onTikTok;starring alongside his then-girlfriend Jena Frumes in a series of dance and challenge-style videos.

Sadly for fans of the couple, Derulo and Frumes parted ways in July 2021. With the singer reportedly still ridin’ solo, we take a look back at Derulo’s relationship history.

Jordin Sparks

Derulo was in a relationship with fellow pop singer andAmerican Idolwinner Jordin Sparks from 2011 to 2014.

The couple collaborated on a number of hit singles, includingVertigio (2014) and It Girl (2012). It is also widely believed that Derulo’s relationship with Sparks was the inspiration behind his 2014 smash hitMarry Me.

“I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships, there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part.”

Speaking to theNew York Postin 2019, Derulo revealed that he and Sparks are no longer friendly with one another, however, their lack of contact was “not for any particular reason.”

“She’s happy. She has her family, her kid and her husband, so I’m happy for her. I’ve learned that I really don’t want to be in a relationship. I don’t think it’s that time in my life,” he continued.

Carmen Ortega

Derulo was rumoured to be in a relationship with model Carmen Ortega shortly after he announced that he and Jordin Sparks had parted ways.

While there is very little information surrounding the details of the couple’s relationship, it is believed that Ortega and Derulo’s romance lasted just over one month.

Speaking toStar Magazine, Ortega claimed that Derulo had cheated on Sparks with her, telling the publication, “We dated for a month. We went out in public a few times, so I assumed he didn’t have a girlfriend… He tried telling me their relationship was strictly fueled by management teams. He lied to me the entire time.”

Daphne Joy

Derulo was in a relationship with model Daphne Joy for six months between December 2015 and May 2016.

Derulo and Joy made their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet of the 2016 People’s Choice Awards.

Speaking on his relationship with Daphne, Derulo told People, “It’s tough at times because I’m always on the road, but with modelling, she’s more flexible than I am, so she’ll come to some of my shows. She has an understated personality. I love that about her.”

Ragon Miller

Jason Derulo was previously linked to model and backup dancer Ragon Miller.

Rumours of a romance between Derulo and Miller first began to circulate in late 2016 following TMZ’s publication of paparazzi images that showed the couple together on a night out.

The couple debuted their relationship at the 2017 CMT Awards. While they did not walk the red carpet together, Derulo and Miller were photographed sharing a number of affectionate moments throughout the ceremony.

Derulo and Miller have not spoken publicly about the details of their split however, it is believed that the couple parted ways in early 2019.

Jena Frumes

Derulo was most recently linked to model Jena Frumes.

The couple reportedly first met one another at a gym in early 2020, with Derulo and Frumes confirming their relationship in March of that year.

Derulo and Frumes quickly became well-known for their joint videos on TikTok, with fans frequently expressing their love for the duo regularly throughout the comments section.

The couple welcomed their first child, Jason King, in May 2021. Derulo and Frumes split in September 2021, with the couple maintaining a friendly co-parenting relationship in the months following their breakup.
