I am pretty sure it does exist you know...I remember having a conversation with Malcolm Beattie about this.... hmmmm.... maybe 4/5 years back... not sure what the developments have been since then but could totally be a thing....

I would like IBM to focus more on COBOL (and z/OS) than on zLinux, Python, Java etc. Not so much on new features but stability. There have been a lot of issues since COBOL 5, and it takes a long time to get fixes 😞.

I got SSH setup on our system, it's a much more efficient way of doing USS work than using the OMVS interface. I just run it in a terminal window inside of VS Code. It was only a few days worth of work to get it up and running without prior experience.

Google Cloud explains how it accidentally deleted a customer account arstechnica.comThis is hilariously embarassing for Google:1. Google operators misconfigured google cloud instance 2. Google instance and backups gets deleted as a result of the misconfiguration3. No fail safe to prevent the deletion4. Fiasco causes over a week of downtime for customerI will personally never trust cloud for large scale critical infrastructure, too much risk with involving a third party to that extent and on systems that really aren't that mature.
