I became curious about the ongoing cobol/mainframe talent gap in various industries. What can be done with IBM mainframes and existing financial infrastructure, if you add digital identities, smart contracts and tokenization (i.e. new financial infrastructure)? To find out for myself, I got certified as an IBM Mainframe Professional Developer. Mainframes are way cooler than I anticipated.
